Jean is 12 years old and is in CM2, the US equivalent of Grade 5 at the Ecole Primaire Catholique St. Boniface in Kovie, Togo. He is the oldest of three children, lives with his mother and father in the village and helps the family agricultural business. Jean is fascinated with machines, particularly ones that are used in construction. He is interested in math, science and technology. He is a frequent visitor to the computer lab and often helps other children master the laptop and the internet. Outside of the classroom he like to play soccer and basketball. He remains one of the top students in his class.
